These #photographs are from El Noche en Blanco (White Night) in Madrid Spain 2007. This night is one where the City is lit up and people attend festivals and dance party celebrations.
Above: See the Story of the Night from Irregular Odes on Youtube.
James was studying at Tandem Spanish School in Madrid at the time so a group of Students went out for dinner first and then jumped onto buses and went to the edge of the city to experience a film festival and dance party.
The Students were Kirsten and Andrea from the USA, Tobias from Lichenstein, Veronica from the UK and everyone's favourite Tristan from Switzerland. Thanks to everyone for all of the great nights out and for making sure everyone was safe as we explored a new country with elementary language skills.
Unfortunately it rained and the power went out but our intrepid friends still had a great time hanging out with the locals. These photographs are less as a landscape gallery and more a personal archive to celebrate the ocasion.
The Gallery, Above, contains a selection of some colour edited images and the curated camera proofs for narrative context and your viewing pleasure.
