Gloucester Park Perth 2004

These #photographs are from a family night out at the Harness Racing at Gloucester Park, Perth on the 2 April 2004 where Fred Kersley was a big winner.

Horse Racing is a family tradition both as spectators and horse trainers. James' Grandfather Howard James Gill of Corrigin trained local harness racing winners in the WA country and Sydney Charles Gill of Kulyalling trained trotters in South Australia in the 1890s!

Other family members including George Lannin of Lake Grace were involved in Horse Racing. George winners included Old Castle at Bunbury & Albany and his horse Misty Ruler was a winner of the Katanning Cup.

Note James is not a sports photographer so these photographs are a record of a family night out. The winner in Green and White stripes is the legendary Fred Kersley.

The Galleries, Above, are a set of camera proofs that contain a range of images from sharply focused to interesting movement chaos.
